Oh Boy, I am feeling Hangry right now! So instead of going to see what kind of snack I can buy from the vending machine I am writing about it!

If you have not had a chance to keep up with my blogs, let me update you! I am going through what we all go through when we are in our weight loss journey! I lost my mojo! I’m working on getting it back. I’ve gone back to the gym here and there, nothing consistent yet. I eat well here and there but I have not lasted pass 3 days straight! OH let me tell you the struggle is real. But I am here sharing to not just let you know that this is another hurdle to jump over but to remind myself as well that I need to just jump and keep running!

You’re probably wondering why am I Hangry? Let me tell you why! I am fasting this morning, I did it yesterday as well as not eating meat and no refined sugars. My mind felt great for conquering eating no sugars or meat that today I wanted to recreate it. I have quoted this before and I will quote it again!

Why do I think this time is different than the others? I can see the domino effect from one discipline to another. I not only have been on my two day roll of morning fasting, no meat, no refined sugars. I am also on my roll with taking my awesome herbal supplements. 

You may be sitting there like ok girl, I get what you’re saying but please! Do you know what it feels like to fast in the morning? I can’t do it, I can’t function, I can’t… STOP yourself (as I mentally stop myself as well!). What has helped me? I’m drinking water, and black café. – I always drink my café black except on the weekends, that’s when I treat myself to a latte with coconut milk! Believe or not water will help you get through your intermittent fasting!

You’re now saying to yourself: WATER? Seriously Vero! WATER? You’re writing all this just to let me know to drink more water. YES I sure am! Why? Because that’s the key to getting through any fasting struggle, water! When your mind and body are fighting drink water. Now do not starve yourself! So the benefits to drinking water when you’re hungry are these:

Drinking Water Helps Maintain the Balance of Body Fluids. Your body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

Water Can Help Control Calories. For years, dieters have been drinking lots of water as a weight loss strategy. While water doesn't have any magical effect on weight loss, substituting it for higher calorie beverages can certainly help.

Water Helps Energize Muscles. Cells that don't maintain their balance of fluids and electrolytes shrivel, which can result in muscle fatigue.

Water Helps Keep Skin Looking Good. Your skin contains plenty of water, and functions as a protective barrier to prevent excess fluid loss.

There are PLENTY more benefits to drinking water. So remember when you’re feeling HANGRY during your intermittent fasting. Drink more water!
